These terms govern use of the HUNT platform and this website. Using either means accepting them. Where you also hold an operator passport or a client account, the agreements you signed for that account apply in addition to these terms, and where the two differ on operational conduct, the signed agreement governs.
1What HUNT is
1.1HUNT is a research network. Organisations commission research through it, and verified specialists carry that research out under written authorisation.
1.2HUNT is not a bug bounty board, a vulnerability marketplace, or a directory of researchers for hire. Work is assigned under a scope agreement, and there is no route to it that skips that document.
2Who may use the platform
2.1You must be legally capable of entering into a contract in your jurisdiction.
2.2Operator accounts are issued only on completion of enlistment and identity verification. Client accounts are issued by HUNT to named organisations. Neither is self-registered, and neither may be shared, sold or transferred.
2.3You are responsible for everything done with your account. Tell HUNT immediately if you believe it has been used by anyone else.
3Authorised use only
3.1The platform may be used only for lawful security research, authorised assessment, and the coordination of that work.
3.2You may not use the platform to perform, arrange or assist any activity outside a written, signed scope agreement. An engagement's scope agreement is the authorisation, and nothing else extends it.
3.3You may not submit fabricated, borrowed or misattributed proof, impersonate any person or organisation, or misrepresent your identity, standing or history.
3.4You may not attempt to access another account, another organisation's material, or any part of the platform you have not been granted.
4What you submit
4.1You keep ownership of what you submit. You grant HUNT the rights it needs to store, review, process and, where an engagement requires it, disclose that material to the client the engagement belongs to.
4.2You confirm that you are entitled to submit what you submit, and that doing so breaches no obligation you owe to anybody else.
4.3Material submitted as proof may be verified. Verification can include checking public links, uploaded files, platform references, referrals, timestamps, and consistency with the discipline you declared.
5Suspension and termination
5.1HUNT may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, a signed agreement, or the law, and may do so without notice where the breach is serious or ongoing.
5.2A passport that is transferred, shared or tampered with is revoked.
5.3Closure does not release either side from obligations that survive it, including confidentiality and payment for work already accepted.
6No warranty, and what that means here
6.1The platform is provided as it is. HUNT does not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, or that any particular engagement, finding or settlement will result from using it.
6.2Nothing in these terms limits liability for anything that cannot lawfully be limited, including fraud.
7Changes
7.1These terms carry a version. When the version changes, the current text is published here and replaces what came before it from that date.
7.2Material changes to an operator agreement are handled differently: you are asked to accept the new version, and the previous acceptance is kept against the wording it was given for.
8Contact
8.1Questions about these terms, and any legal notice, should reach HUNT through the enquiry route published on this site.
